Terms and Conditions for La Clean House Cleaning Company

By booking a service through this website, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. Do not book service with us if you do not agree to these terms and conditions.

Confirmation of Reservation

Online booking does not guarantee you a spot for that date/time; you will be contacted via email or phone with a confirmation.

Cleaning Staff

We always work in teams of two; however, due to the complexity of the work or a busy schedule, more cleaners may be required on occasion; we do our best to limit the rotation of cleaners in your home while still providing adequate cross-training to our cleaning technicians.
Prior to working with us, all of our employees were thoroughly background checked and drug tested, so you can be confident that everyone on our team is honest and accountable.

Refusing Service is a legal right.

We reserve the right to refuse and/or terminate service due to safety concerns, inappropriate or uncomfortable situations, weapons on-site, severe clutter, and disconnected utilities.
If the home is in an extremely unsanitary condition or if our employees feel unsafe/threatened, they have the option of leaving. If you book an unreasonable cleaning, the cleaners may refuse service on the spot and charge you the cancellation fee.

Heavy Duty Cleaning

PLEASE NOTE: We are committed to providing top-quality cleaning services to all our clients. In order to maintain our high standards and ensure every home receives the care it deserves, we may apply a “heavy duty” fee for exceptionally challenging cleaning tasks. This fee will be added when a property requires significantly more time, effort, and resources to achieve our standard of cleanliness. The office will reach out if it is needed.

Extra Services

These services are available for a fee.
Clean the interior windows and sills, as well as the blinds and baseboards.

Dishes

Clean the Insides of Kitchen Cabinets
Clean the inside of the oven and the inside of the refrigerator.
Sweep the inside of the garage, clean the patio, and wash the carpet.

Pets

We will gladly work around pets; however, for cleaning efficiency and safety reasons, we ask that indoor activity be limited; if your pet becomes anxious or poses a safety concern, La Clean House Cleaning Service reserves the right to remove its employees from your home.

Our employees are not allowed to enter a home if they believe an animal is a threat; pets may act differently if a family member is not present. If our cleaning technician is removed due to aggressive pets, our cancellation policy will apply.

Service Charges

Please keep in mind that while we provide these instant prices based on years of experience, we reserve the right to adjust the price based on the actual condition of the house. To avoid surprises, if we arrive and discover that the job will take longer than expected, we’ll call you to let you know. If we are unable to reach you, the crew will be forced to leave, and you will be charged the cancellation fee.

We reserve the right to reevaluate rates at any time based on the time it takes to perform our service to meet the client’s standards. If the cleaning time differs significantly from the original bid, La Clean House will contact the client to discuss price or service revisions.

Payments

Payment must be made in cash, check, or credit card on the day of cleaning.

Policy on Refunds

We do not offer refunds because we have built our business on providing our clients with the best possible service available. However, we recognize that we are human and things will occasionally get missed; if this occurs, please email or call us within 24 hours and we will correct the error at no cost.

Discount for Recurring Services

Recurring discounts begin AFTER the first cleaning service; if you skip cleanings so that your cleaning frequency is lower than what you were set up for, your price will be raised to the lower frequency pricing level.

Rates are rising.

Client cleaning rate adjustments may be made at any time during the year if the frequency of the client’s established service schedule or home or living situation changes: remodel, change of address, number of people living in the home, significant addition of furniture, and so on.
The customer rate shall be increased annually by no more than 8% of the client’s current rate.

Lockouts

On the scheduled service day, the client must make the service location accessible to La Clean House Service personnel. If the cleaning team is locked out of the Client’s home, every effort will be made to contact the Client to arrange for entry into the home; if contact is not made within 20 minutes of the cleaning team’s arrival, the scheduled cleaning will be skipped and you will be charged a $70 late cancellation fee; this fee is necessary to compensate the employees for unexpected lost revenue and time travel; to avoid the fee, provide us with a key or code to gain entry to your home.

Cancellations and rescheduling

By using our website, you indicate that you have read, understand, and agree to abide by our privacy policies. If you do not agree with our privacy policies, please do not use our website.

Alarm

If your home has a security system, please make sure it is turned off or call our office for the code and proper operating instructions. If the code changes, please notify us so that you do not incur a lockout fee.

Utilization of a Homeowner's Vacuum

We will not assume or accept liability for any damage to the unit if you request to use your vacuum. We will not be responsible for any repairs to the vacuum because we are not responsible for its maintenance. This is critical because if the vacuum is not in working order when we arrive to clean your home, we will be unable to vacuum the carpets and hard floor surfaces.

Cleaning Materials

We provide all of the necessary equipment and products to thoroughly clean your home; however, if you prefer that we only use green cleaning products, please let us know before we begin the service.
If you must use your cleaning supplies, please keep in mind that we are not responsible for any damage caused by those products. When we make this request, we ask that you have the cleaning chemicals and supplies ready so that we can complete our cleaning service as quickly as possible.

Items We Are Unable to Clean

Because mold removal is our specialty, we cannot be held responsible for any mold-related risks in our clients’ homes.
We are unable to clean hoarding homes or areas that contain any animal or human body fluids, blood, feces, vomit, cat litter boxes, bird cages and urine, or excretions.

Unreachable locations and heavy items

Our employees are not permitted to work outside of your home or climb higher than a step stool for safety and liability reasons. Cleaners cannot move objects weighing more than 35 pounds; if you want cleaning behind heavy objects, please move them first.

Policy on Breakage/Damage and Loss

While it is uncommon, the possibility of breakage or damage exists while we clean. When cleaning your home, our cleaners take reasonable care, and we carry insurance to cover any damage or breakage caused by our cleaners.
We are not responsible for damage caused by normal wear and tear, improper installation of an item in your home, artwork, collectibles, or family heirlooms that were not disclosed during the booking process; these items include, but are not limited to, the following.
Artwork, collectibles, and family heirlooms: These items are expensive and impossible to replace; the client should notify us of such items before beginning service; please advise us how you would like your fragile items handled and cared for.
Any personal items that are broken or lost must be reported within 24 hours. Identical substitution is always attempted but not guaranteed.

Arrival Time of the Cleaners

In order to maintain low prices and avoid trip fees, we schedule our cleanings in the order that requires the least amount of drive time. If you require a specific time, we will make every effort to accommodate your request, but no times are guaranteed.
Because of the unpredictable nature of our business and unforeseen circumstances such as traffic jams, weather, and mechanical problems, we have the flexibility to schedule our cleaning between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
We generally do not arrive more than 30 minutes early or later than the scheduled appointment time; if we are running late, we will call or text you.

Holidays

Holiday visits are not made by La Clean House Service.

We will contact you to reschedule if your scheduled day falls on a holiday; the following holidays will be observed:

Inclement Weather on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day

When the Snohomish and King County School Districts are unable to open due to inclement weather, we will be closed.

Release of the Key

Client keys are coded and stored in a locked cabinet to which only La Clean House Service managers have access.

La Clean House will not be held liable for any damages or theft to the client’s home if the client chooses to leave a door unlocked or place a key under a mat or any other unsecured place for the cleaners to gain entry.

La Clean House shall return any client key(s) in its possession no later than 48 hours after the termination of services or the next business day.

Employees of La Clean House are not solicited.

As our customer, we ask that you agree not to hire any of our cleaning employees directly for yourself. Our professional cleaners have been background checked, their references have been verified, and they have completed extensive cleaning training. We invest a significant amount of time, resources, and money in each new employee before allowing them to enter our customers’ homes.

Any claim relating to the La Clean House website will be governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

We have made every effort to design our website to be useful, informative, helpful, and honest; hopefully, we have succeeded, and we would appreciate it if you could let us know if there are any improvements or changes that would make it even easier for you to find the information you require.

La Clean House reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time and without prior notice.

La Clean House 2024
